Gareth Edwards

Non-Executive Chairman

Gareth has significant public markets experience gained from many years in non-executive roles and during his time as a qualified solicitor and a partner at law firm Pinsent Masons LLP, where he held both the positions of Global Head of Corporate and International Development Partner. He is currently Chairman of Nightcap Group Ltd, recently de-listed from AIM, and a nonexecutive director on the Board of Various Eateries plc, which is quoted on AIM. He is also a strategic consultant and an Executive Director of London Bridge Capital Limited, an FCA authorised corporate finance boutique.

Andrew Richards

Chief Financial Officer

Andrew brings 25 years’ experience within the financial services and insurance industries. Spending 12 years with Chesnara plc., a life insurance and pensions consolidator. He also held the role of CFO of Countrywide Assured plc, for nine years, where he oversaw all financial aspects of strategy and financial management. Prior to joining Chesnara, Andrew was a Senior Manager within the Financial Services practice of Deloitte. Andrew is a Chartered Accountant.

 

 

James Hickman

Chief Executive Officer

James has spent over 25 years in the Financial Services industry with the last 20 years’ experience within the FX and payments industries.

Most recently, James was Chief Revenue Officer at Dublin-based fintech business, Fire Financial Services Limited. Previously, James spent nearly five years as Chief Commercial Officer at AIM-quoted Equals Group PLC. Prior to that he was Managing Director at Caxton Payments Limited (formerly Caxton FX Limited), a provider of foreign exchange, international payments and prepaid cards. In each role, James was responsible for growing sales, operations and managing key relationships. At Equals, his role also included investor relations, fundraising and strategic acquisitions.

William Newton

Chief Information Officer

In Bill’s career of more than 35 years, Bill has co-founded and held a variety of senior management roles in ODL Securities (a derivatives, equities and FX brokerage); designed and managed multiple real-time risk and regulatory reporting systems; served as CIO for London Capital Group, managing a reorganisation of its core systems and infrastructure.

 

Simon Bullock, ACMA

Non-Executive Director

Simon has over 25 years of executive experience in finance positions in public and private companies operating in the UK and internationally. He has worked in strategic and operational CFO roles across the technology and financial services sectors, including at Caxton FX Limited, a provider of foreign exchange, international payments, and prepaid cards.

He has significant experience with AIM-quoted businesses, including Aurasian Minerals plc (now Adriatic Metal Services (UK) Limited), Merit Group plc, Bonhill Group plc, and OnTheMarket plc. Simon is a Chartered Management Accountant, having qualified in 1996.

John Burns

Non-Executive Director

John has over 40 years’ experience in the payments industry and was involved in legislative policy development at the Financial Services Authority (now FCA).

Prior to joining the Financial Services Authority, he spent eight years at the Association for Payment Clearing Services and the Payments Council. Other experience includes various positions with Clydesdale Bank Plc and Lloyds Banking Group. John is currently Senior Advisor, Payment Services at Cosegic Limited.
